Of course, what would have really motivated the Steelers this week is if my favorite all-time cartoon characters and
TV critics, Beavis and Butthead, were at the training complex watching the continuous loop of the Steelers' Dec. 16 loss
to the Jaguars.
"This sucks. Change it!"
Surely the Steelers would have been riled up by hearing
the boys say "These Steeler dudes suck!"
Then our animated friends would have gladly partaken in the
smashing of several of those TV monitors throughout the Steelers facility.
Well, it's been 10 years since the
farewell episode of "Beavis and Butthead," but I haven't outgrown the show just yet. Maybe in another 10
years.
I predicted a Steelers loss to the Jaguars Saturday night. If you're reading this, then you're one
of the few who are willing to venture a little deeper into Steelahs.com. For that, you'll be rewarded with my predicted
score: Jaguars 28, Steelers 17. I hope the Steelers win, of course. If they do, I'll look forward to the hate mail.
I'm also going to make my Super Bowl prediction. Even though I wavered a little bit in my previous post, I'm
going to say that the Chargers and Cowboys will meet in the Super Bowl. That's what I predicted
before the season, and despite the Patriots' perfection, I'm going to stick to my guns. LaDainian Tomlinson will exploit the Patriots'
suspect run defense and the Chargers will beat the Patriots in the AFC championship game, getting revenge for the Patriots'
win over the Chargers and subsequent display of disrespect on the Chargers' field in last year's playoffs.
The Chargers are hiding in the weeds. They had a disappointing start to the season but seem to be peaking at the right time.
